Frequently asked questions

Caribbean or Buenos Aires: which is better for a company retreat?

The Caribbean suits a relaxed, all-together retreat with short flights from the US (2-4 hours to Punta Cana). Buenos Aires suits teams that want a city with culture and food, and is a longer trip (about 9 hours from Miami). Buenos Aires is also where Nexus is based, so it's the place to meet Latin American candidates in person.

When is the best time for a retreat?

In the Caribbean, December to April is the dry season; hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, with most of the risk in August to October. In Buenos Aires, autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) have the mildest weather.

What do team members need to travel?

US citizens need a passport valid for at least 6 months and no visa for either destination. The Dominican Republic also requires a free e-Ticket form before arrival and departure (eticket.migracion.gob.do). Other nationalities should check their own requirements.

How much does a company retreat cost?

It depends on the destination, group size, number of nights, season and type of venue. We send a proposal with a full cost breakdown after a short call about your dates and goals.

Can team members in Latin America join the retreat?

Yes. Team members across Latin America fly in on regional flights, US colleagues fly down, and we coordinate arrivals from every country so everyone lands in the same window.
